Well, my tenure as a KOMU dot-commer has come to an end. I will always be there in spirit as I think back to the good times... Ashton yelling at reporters, Ashton yelling at the printers... actually, Ashton is a very tempered person, which surprises me. This may be stereotype, but I always thought Mormons were light-hearted, good-natured people. Huh.
Anyway, Cate was training a girl who will start in the summer, so it was really like a changing of the guard. Out with the old (Fowler and myself) and in with the new (Chrissie). It looked like she was skeptical because it's a lot to remember, but I thought the same thing when I started. Relax, Jen. Dot-com is in good hands.
This last one was very surprising. Scripts were approved around 8. On Friday. For the first time ever. It was a pleasant experience. And because scripts were approved early, we edited the stories earlier than before. Which meant getting them on-line was less stressful. And faster. Everything, video included (minus Sports) was up at 10:23. I know this because Cate was especially ecstatic about that fact, as it was the quickest anything has been uploaded.
Good shift, great semester, and I hugged Cate and Becca good-bye. I wish them well in all their endeavors.

I'm leading this week in Baseball. Couple of people started hitting, including Ryan Howard. But it was a good outing by my pitchers, who should not go unmentioned. Carmona, Hudson, Looper and Burres pitched well in their outings. It should be more of the same over the summer. I might even keep this going for you Jen. I know you're concerned about my team.

Also, a buddy of mine is getting married in two weeks. That seems odd if I didn't have a couple of friends already married or engaged. I thought marriage was part of waiting for your career to start, not waiting for law school to start.
I'm growing weary of Eric Blumberg. Way to be a teacher and single me out in an e-mail for making an error. Not even major, just backseat reporting. I'm sorry I didn't know the kid had a no-hitter until he was gone because I missed the first inning and didn't get the specific details. Oh well. One more week.

About to Wrap it Up
Friday was my Smart Decision shift. Jessica had updated all the blogs, and since most people are "drunk or they want to be", there were no blogs that needed to be updated. It was a very uninteresting shift, considering the night before I came in fifth in a poker tournament and then played drunken softball until 1 in the morning. It's kind of hard to top that sort of night. I eventually did, but that was later... more on that in a bit.
Going-ons at the station were kind of boring. There were people making resume tapes and just chilling with friends. Why you would hang out at a news station on Friday is beyond me, but whatever. People are strange. Anyway... kind of a quiet night. There were only three packages this week, down from the usual amount of six. It was nice, because that meant that both Fowler and myself didn't have to take a script and get it ready in ten minutes. I guess that's to be expected as Greeley's kids finish their shifts. Next week, Jieun Jeon might be the only full package. And that would be both awesome and strange.

About to win this week. Tim Hudson was a man-beast, throwing a CG, 3-hit shutout against the Reds. So that's good. Add to that a great game each by Francouer and McCann, as well as Ryan Zimmerman coming up with some key RBIs and I'm on my way to climbing back up to within the top half of the league.
Not Fantasy related, but LET'S GO SHARKS! I've liked you guys for years, and you need to beat the Stars. Please. As if Texas needs something else to boast about.

There's another in MS I called but no one picked up. I wouldn't mind Jackson. Close to Memphis, only four hours from home, and the same region. I'd have to dodge the rednecks, mullets and NASCAR (which in TN would be damn-near impossible), but I won't change my ways. I'm fairly certain it's Cardinal Nation down there, not Cubby Land.

The Only Regular Friday Night
So I got to do another KOMU shift. It's getting a little boring to be honest. If it weren't for the fresh crop of B2-ers then it would flat-out suck. Kyle was there for Cate and Carly for Josh. I felt like my best friends left me behind at the mall. Oh well. It's weird to think I won't be doing this for much longer, but I know that what I've learned will help me out wherever I end up.
Just thank God no one tried to die on me this week. I couldn't have handled it twice in a row.
I was a bit late, but only because I had to shoot my Sports story this week. Went to Mexico and back and was only five minutes late. Not that it mattered. Jessica and Zimmerman were in the Blue Room when I arrived, since everything was edited. So basically, I was working for the station for eight hours with no money to show for it. I even had to use my car to shoot, so I hope Stacey reimburses me for that.
Spent more time on YouTube since nothing was approved until 9:30. No joke. Either Jim is slow or these kids have trouble writing. Now, I was not perfect when I first started, but I knew enough to start writing when I got back. I mean, c'mon. 20 minutes to voice and edit a package, plus apply make-up if you're live? No way. No wonder Ashton's so stressed.

So Braden Looper has a shutout through seven innings and LaRussa benches him. End result? Izzy blows it, Braden get a ND, and my week is shot. My offense isn't producing for anything, and when something good happens, my opponent gets three of them. At least Padilla threw a CG shutout. Now I might stand a chance in the pitching categories.
The following players are pissing me off right now: Ryan Howard, Rick Ankiel, Carlos Beltran and Ryan Zimmerman. Seriously guys. Get it together!!

I love Sports. It's so freeing. How free, you ask? I used a clip from 'Bull Durham' in my story. You read right. How many times was I able to do that for General Assignment? Never. I only have three hours to write and edit. I can't be that creative. But when I have a week to think about how I'm going to go about it, I get these wonderful ideas.
I also shot the MU softball game today. At least the first inning. Because that's when the umps got together and called the game due to rain. Whatever. I thought shooting a game would be fun, but balancing a new camera, an umbrella and trying to zoom in on action is extremely difficult, especially when umbrellas aren't allowed

When an Old Man Almost Dies on You...
What do you do? I mean, the guy is almost dying as he is talking to you. It wasn't even my job. The desk person left early, and she said (and I quote) "Nobody else is going to call." Well, she was wrong. While this dude was telling me where he lived and that he couldn't breath, I dialed 911 with my cell and tossed it to Kyle.
Now, I should note that the guy said he hit the wrong speed dial button. It wasn't until after we were disconnected and after I was quizzed by 911 dispatch did I think, "Why the hell is KOMU on his speed dial?" But I let it go. I never heard back from 911, so I guess everything was fine.
Now, the actual shift... was boring. When I got there, Jessica told me everything was updated, so I spent most of my shift in the Blue Room, checking the blogs as well as YouTube for some good old-fashioned nostalgia. I even found clips of 'Where in the Wold is Carmen SanDiego?' Are you kidding me!! That was my childhood. But I found myself yelling at the dumb kids. Here's a clue: know your own country's geography. If you honestly believe that Arizona is anywhere close to the East coast, you should move to a less-than-desirable state (West Virginia, Kansas, Mississippi) for a period of years no less than three times your age. So if you're ten, I hope you have a career picked out in Jackson.
Working for SmartDecision is sort of losing its luster to me. It just never seems as exciting as KOMU. I update, refresh, and browse the site. It gets boring, and I would rather do KOMU shifts from here on out, but I understand how it works.

But no, Chipper had to hit, like, 5 HRs and drive in around 9 or 10. Whatever. I had a decent pitching performance this week, so that's going to cut into his lead a little. I probably will start next week in the top 7, which puts me in the middle of the pack. I'm fine with that right now. But if Ryan Howard doesn't start hitting the ball, I will refuse to acknowledge he comes from St. Louis.

I did my first Sports report this week. It aired on Thursday's 6pm show, and I think it turned out fairly well. There were some lengthy nat pops that could have been trimmed, and a flash-frame in there that somehow evaded Gervino, Aaron and myself, but it happens. I've also come to a realization that I don't care for Blumberg that much. I knew that before, but this week strengthened that belief. He just rubs me the wrong way. He has this superiority complex about him, and I don't think that's the way to go about the station.

KOMU + Miss USA
Working this week was about the same as any ordinary night. Everything from the 6 was posted on time, so by the time my shift actually began, there was nothing to do. Missouri headlines were already checked, so I figured with some free time, I would work on my e-Portfolio and check in to see how Candice did in Vegas. We also had passionate arguments about if some contestant's breasts were fake or not or if Stacey was in attendance. Anyway, Candice finished in sixth, apparently, and we did not see Stacey holding up a sign saying, "I'M HER BOSS". Too bad.
But I got six of my stories transferred from Vimeo to my website, although the sixth one will not be allowed to play. I'm not sure why, but I'm happy as hell I got it up in time so any prospective employers would like to see my work.
But doing the station work wasn't bad. I edited a couple stories on a laptop at the Producer's Pod, but that thing was evil. It would skip line sin mid sentence. I ended up with sentences like "The new animal trin Jefferson City isuck has arrived..." Just frustrating stuff like that. But we got everything edited, with images. Everything was up by 10:30, Cate's goal. It was a good shift in all.

I did end up losing my Fantasy Hockey final by a score of 11-2. I was just wiped on Sunday. Everything Kennedy needed to catch up to me he got. Short-handed points? Three. Game-winning goals? Two. Save percentage? A shut-out and giving up on goal on 35 shots will help that. Oh well. I'll take second place.
I did lose my first week of Baseball, but I'm up this week huge, and I should coast to a victory. SCW Hates Chicks didn't know what to expect. A big day by Jeff Francouer yesterday (3/5, 2 HR, 7 RBI and 9) helped me big time. Also, John Smoltz's 6 innings of one-run ball is a good outing for someone who started the year on the DL.

My relationship is so jacked up. I never know who I'm dating half the time. It's like she's bipolar. She accuses me of not keeping promises when I've never made that promise to begin with. Case in point: "You said you would drive up to Dayton and see me this month."
- 1.) I never made that promise. I said I would like to, and if I could I would. But she hears what she wants sometimes. And I'm always the bad guy because I don't keep the promises I never made. Go figure.
- 2.) I' drove to Dayton last semester. And it cost me almost $150 to get there and back. That was before this $3.19 a gallon heist we have now. And in the East, it's almost $3.40 a gallon. I can't afford it. I'm sorry I'm not loaded. She thinks it's nothing for me to drive eight hours one way to see her for a day and a half. Well, with a capstone project, investigative reporting, numerous papers and projects, not to mention my station shifts, it makes driving a third of a day a little difficult.

Back from Spring Break.... And a film by Joshua Fowler
Hooray. Since Smart Decision finally went live this past week, there was something for me to (gasp) actually do. And it ended up being typing the ballots for Phelps County. I learned two things in this task:
1.) If there is ever a trivia night where they ask: 'What are the zip codes of Rolla, MO?', I will clean up. (65401, 65402 and 65409. Put it in the bank)
2.) If you do feel the need to type ballots, try and do it in a chair. I stood for the entire time, and when I finished, I felt lime an old man who just lifted a sofa up a narrow flight of stairs. Not an experience I wish to repeat, but I probably will at some point. And it doesn't help that I can be the most anal retentive bastard when it comes to organizing something like this. Whenever something would go over the allotted one line of text, I would have to center the two lines. It's just how I am.
I was also asked to help with information regarding the Lieutenant Governor's race, after some "Princess Bride" discussions with Jen and some in the newsroom. But Cate needed help getting everything ready for the 10 postings. So I typed up some scripts and then helped people capture an image... which reminds me. Cate came up with an idea of typing up a memo on how to capture an image and transfer it to the server, so everyone, especially the B2ers, know what they are doing. I thought it was a solid idea, so chew on it. Give it some thought.
We also learned through our colleague Mr. Fowler that he wrote a screenplay for a class of his last semester. So we got to read a little of that. I won't go into specifics, but it was OK. Believable characters, a solid plot and flashbacks. I'm a sucker for flashbacks.

FANTASY SPORTS NEWS
Well, my NCAA bracket is now officially shot to Hell. Texas lost in the Elite 8 and Carolina was bounced last night. I had the 'Heels beating the 'Horns in the Final. So there's that. But there is a silver lining. I won $5 from my Dad and $10 each from my roommates. So there's and extra $25 I can spend on an eighth of a tank of gas. Which is nice.
I'm ahead in my Hockey final, but after today, I think I'll lose a couple of categories giving 'Kemily's Krushers' the victory. I hate losing...I really do.
Rick Ankiel was a steal in my Baseball league. One week: 3 HR, 6 RBI... amazing. He's picking up Ryan Howard's slack. If those two catch on fire at the same time, watch out for Logush.

My buddy Joe's dad died of cancer last week. He was in the hospital for awhile, then got pneumonia on top of it. Jerry Kennedy was 57, a year older than my dad. And that's scary to me. My mom beat breast cancer last year, and to know how lucky we were that chemo worked for her. It just puts things in perspective.

1.) If there is ever a trivia night where they ask: 'What are the zip codes of Rolla, MO?', I will clean up. (65401, 65402 and 65409. Put it in the bank)
2.) If you do feel the need to type ballots, try and do it in a chair. I stood for the entire time, and when I finished, I felt lime an old man who just lifted a sofa up a narrow flight of stairs. Not an experience I wish to repeat, but I probably will at some point. And it doesn't help that I can be the most anal retentive bastard when it comes to organizing something like this. Whenever something would go over the allotted one line of text, I would have to center the two lines. It's just how I am.
I was also asked to help with information regarding the Lieutenant Governor's race, after some "Princess Bride" discussions with Jen and some in the newsroom. But Cate needed help getting everything ready for the 10 postings. So I typed up some scripts and then helped people capture an image... which reminds me. Cate came up with an idea of typing up a memo on how to capture an image and transfer it to the server, so everyone, especially the B2ers, know what they are doing. I thought it was a solid idea, so chew on it. Give it some thought.
We also learned through our colleague Mr. Fowler that he wrote a screenplay for a class of his last semester. So we got to read a little of that. I won't go into specifics, but it was OK. Believable characters, a solid plot and flashbacks. I'm a sucker for flashbacks.

FANTASY SPORTS NEWS
Well, my NCAA bracket is now officially shot to Hell. Texas lost in the Elite 8 and Carolina was bounced last night. I had the 'Heels beating the 'Horns in the Final. So there's that. But there is a silver lining. I won $5 from my Dad and $10 each from my roommates. So there's and extra $25 I can spend on an eighth of a tank of gas. Which is nice.
I'm ahead in my Hockey final, but after today, I think I'll lose a couple of categories giving 'Kemily's Krushers' the victory. I hate losing...I really do.
Rick Ankiel was a steal in my Baseball league. One week: 3 HR, 6 RBI... amazing. He's picking up Ryan Howard's slack. If those two catch on fire at the same time, watch out for Logush.

Week from Hell: Projects, Fires and Worry! Oh my!
So I went to the station, fully prepared that I was on Smart Decision. I accepted this, and I also figured I would stay in the Blue Room the entire time, just in case Spencer did a live shot from the newsroom (HA! See, I can have some fun with this ban-thing!). What I didn't know was that a house exploded near East Campus, so that pretty much was a hectic scene. Then, another fire...this time in Fulton. So me and Jess Daley hit the Internet hard, looking for phone numbers of residents to see what it was like, what they saw, and where it was. I finally won the battle of finding out the apartment complex's name (Deerhoof), thanks to a woman behind the fire. Anyway, the fire was contained, and a lot of hooplah for nothing, but Sean McGarvey said I earned my reporter's wings by hitting the phones...whatever the hell that means. So by the time all that excitement died down, it was almost show time, and Cate needed help writing scripts and posting images and video, so I pretty much did KOMU work again. Didn't really mind, and I can't say next week is going to be very exciting. Friday before Spring Break? Don't think so.

Helluva Week
This week's dot-com was one that I would like to forget. I was trying to capture an image for Nayillah's story, but Ashton was crash-editing it. Apparently, something was wrong with the sound, because the audio was popping when it shouldn't have been. Anyway, I was going back to the computers when I had a huge lapse in judgment and made the "rock-n-roll" sign behind Spencer. In his live shot.
I really don't want to hear anything about this. I don't know what's going to happen, or how I'm going to be reprimanded. Fowler said it wasn't that bad, and in all truth, it wasn't. It was split-screen, so it wasn't much, but it was still there. Gordon wasn't too pleased. Between me and you, I think he wants to beat me to within an inch of my life. Anyway, I know I screwed up, and I really don't want to rehash this, so the sooner this is behind me, the happier I'll be.
But as far as the rest of the shift went, all MO headlines went up, and (surprise, surprise), Jim approved everybody with not much time left. This time, he didn't mark on iNews that he had approved them, so Cate was freaking out a little, thinking no one was set. But they were good, so we all typed up the web versions. Everything was posted on-line. No real web-extras to speak of, just quotes that didn't make it in.

I'm all set to wrap-up the Fantasy Hockey regular season, and my boys, White Russians, are in first place with no real competition. It isn't even fair. I'm beating this kid now 11-0, and am preparing for my first-round playoff bye.
In Baseball, our draft is Wednesday night, so after a solid day of reporting real news, I get to scout players that I may not even end up getting. It's kind of like story ideas. You have all these ones in mind, with possible interviews, and then Randy says, "Do this one instead." That's pretty much how it goes down.

Watched "Training Day" this morning. Talk about a great performance. Dear sweet Lord. Denzel Washington is amazing in most any role, but as a corrupt cop, he deserved that Oscar. I love that movie. A great cast, and a really good story make it amazing. The scene where Denzel yells to everyone in the projects about how he's untouchable ("King Kong ain't got sh*t on me!") was phenomenal. I recommend it, but not with the little ones present.
So two of my close high-school friends are in the marriage process. One happened in January, and the other is going to be in May. I find it a little bit frightening that two of my best friends are this close to adulthood. That freaks me out. We are far, far too young to be dealing with this kind of stuff. I can't get married right out of college. I love Liz, but it ain't happening. I need a career, with a steady flow of income before I walk down an aisle/stand in front of a state official.

New Month, Old Habits
Well, not exactly old habits, but its nice to see March finally arrive. I wore a pair of shorts for the first time since October. Spring is almost here!! Anyway, on to it...

The dot-com shift went pretty well. Fowler had been at the station since 7:30 AM, so Cate and I figured he would want to do anything but more station work. However, Zimmerman stayed until 7:30, and everything was put up, which was both good and awful. Good because we didn't have to do any translating and getting video/images. And awful because there was nothing to do. MO Headlines had already been posted by Matt, so we pretty much talked for a long time. Which is cool. It lets me know my co-workers better. For instance, Josh thinks he is fairly attractive and Cate hates Michigan State. So that's something. It's getting to be fun. The reporters were a little late in getting images, but that wasn't a big deal.
There was one rough spot with the shift. Jim approved everybody at the same time. With about twenty minutes before the newscast. Which meant each of us had to edit a story and create video and image categories for them in a very short time frame. Josh took the Chuck Berry story, Cate took Brandon Lewis' ( I don't know what it was about), and I edited Jeun and Sims' scripts. It would've been grand had iNews not crashed on me right after I edited JiEun's story. I remember because I was about to curse for several minutes, but she warned me. She stopped me after "son of a". But after that, it was easy. All images , video and stories were posted, and everything was on-line before Sports even went on the air.

Since Spring is almost here, it means two things: the return of Major League Baseball (more specifically the Cards) and the return of its offspring, Fantasy Baseball. I named my team after Greeley in hopes of powering past every other poor soul. I have the 8th pick of 12, so I won't get the best value (A-Rod), but will end up with a very solid first pick (Ryan Howard or Chase Utley, whomever's available). I'm excited about it, and look forward to improve over last year, where I finished in 11th out of 12. Yikes.

Back in CoMo... Great.
Back in town after going back to St. Louis. Got to spend Friday night alone with Liz, which is always nice. Saturday was her sister's 4th grade basketball game, where the halftime score was 3-2. You read that right. The final was 15-8. They lost. Apparently, a couple of weeks ago, they fought to a 0-0 final. That is impressive. Probably deserves and ESPY. After the game was a chance to see some friends I hadn't hung out with since Mizzou beat kU in KC. Had some beers and shots of Jagermeister... interesting night.

Oscars are tonight. I have seen only one of the pictures (American Gangster) nominated in the major awards, but I'll give some picks anyway:
BEST PICTURE: No Country for Old Men
BEST DIRECTOR: The Coen Brothers (No Country for Old Men)
BEST ACTOR: Daniel Day-Lewis (There Will be Blood)
BEST ACTRESS: Julie Christie (Away from Her)
BEST SUPPORTING ACTOR: Javier Bardem (No Country for Old Men)
BEST SUPPORTING ACTRESS: Amy Ryan (Gone, Baby, Gone)
I'm no expert, and like I said, I've only seen one, and Ruby Dee ain't winning. I'm probably least confident in Amy Ryan. I really wanted to see GBG, but I'll be damned if I pay $8 at the theater for anything affiliated with Ben Affleck. However, I would like to see his brother Casey win for BSActor, but Bardem has so much acclaim/momentum, it's his to lose, not Affleck's to win. Bardem didn't pull an Eddie Murphy and follow a strong performance with the POS Norbit. Also, generally, if you win Best Picture, you win Best Director, so the Coens will take it home.

Thursdays???
I switched shifts with Lauren Reid this week. I'm trying to get home this afternoon (crossing fingers) to see my girlfriend and celebrate my mother's birthday.
Last night was far different than the Friday shift. There wasn't that much to do. Everything ran really smoothly. Maybe because reporters like Luby, Lamb and Hall were on the job. But all text was edited before the newscasts, and simply putting the video up didn't take much work at all. Before the 10, I was able to see the wonderful RockBand performance displayed by Matt Lawrence, Josh Stafford and my buddy Nick Berardini. Schaeffer and Fowler made my night last night with that video display.
In all honesty, I prefer Friday nights. It's more relaxed, editors, reporters and Riek joke around more. I was skeptical about Fridays, but after experiencing another night, I like my current spot.
Going home in a few hours. Hopefully KOMU doesn't have breaking news about a 1997 Mercury Sable that went flying off the highway.

Interactive on the Web
As a guy, I think that automatically makes me a fan of sports. Now while I like some sports more than others (the NHL and MLB trounce NASCAR and the NBA), I still try to find any information, even if it's the stats of a player I despise.

However, it's more than just stats. The site espn.com is a place where you can not only watch clips from games, mainly highlights, but also hear interviews and listen to games through on-line radio. For a sports fan, this is important. My buddy Ryan, or as he shall be called from her on out, Woody, is a high school buddy of mine and loves the St. Louis Blues. His problem is he goes to school in Tulsa, Oklahoma. FSN Midwest doesn't carry that far, so he can't watch many games. However, through sites like espn.com, he can listen to the game and keep tabs on it. This is a huge deal to fans who want to see and hear their favorite team when they live in an unfriendly location. From Tulsa to Japan to Iraq. As long as there's an Internet connection (and a set of speakers), a game can be heard from anywhere. And for sports fans like myself, that's a victory.

Life At the Station
"Kind of a rough one" would be how I would describe this pat week. What with my own personal Valentine's Day hell, assignments not going how I hoped and having to have Stacey crash-edit my Wednesday story, this week-end couldn't come soon enough. Hopefully next week, despite a test and quiz over readings I haven't read yet, will be better. After all, I am going home.
Editing for the website is starting to seep its way into my system. It isn't as hard as it was to freeze-frame and image and create a space for it on ACM. And despite the occasional trouble about the weather report (because that particular computer loves all of us SO much), editing is going better. We were able to get the 10 newscast posted on-line by 10:30. Cate, Carly and myself managed it, and were pretty excited. Esp. Cate. She was uber-pleased with it all. Only getting sports up was a problem, but someone from that department was constantly in and out of the newsroom, trying to get it on. We would help, but really, it was just something less we had to do ourselves.
Also checked Smart Decision, but nothing really new was up. Right now, and I know I've said this before, but SD is getting boring. But I'm sure that in the next couple of weeks the site will be running how it's supposed to. Not that I don't like hanging out in the newsroom watching 1 vs. 100 while I'm on that shift, but I feel bad I can't use my full potential. KOMU.com is run smoothly, so some times there's nothing I can do to really help them. I try, and sometimes I can help, but not all the time. That's why I want SD to run effectively, so I can help turn it into a damn good site that people want to visit.

Editing for the website is starting to seep its way into my system. It isn't as hard as it was to freeze-frame and image and create a space for it on ACM. And despite the occasional trouble about the weather report (because that particular computer loves all of us SO much), editing is going better. We were able to get the 10 newscast posted on-line by 10:30. Cate, Carly and myself managed it, and were pretty excited. Esp. Cate. She was uber-pleased with it all. Only getting sports up was a problem, but someone from that department was constantly in and out of the newsroom, trying to get it on. We would help, but really, it was just something less we had to do ourselves.
Also checked Smart Decision, but nothing really new was up. Right now, and I know I've said this before, but SD is getting boring. Blog Name Change
I figured if I ever accomplish my dream of having a sports show, this is what it would be called. Or something similar. So from here on out, it's a Greeley-style "Bare-Knuckles" view of the KOMU newsroom and whatever else happens to piss me off about the world. That's right Jen. There's more coming.

Third Week of Shifts
I was all set to do komu.com until Fowler told me he would take the next two KOMU shifts cuz he was behind. No problem for me. All I had to do was check the SmartDecision blogs because there was no new videos of extreme importance. I'm a little disappointed with Smart Decision to be honest. I know it needs time, but on that shift, I feel like I'm wasting time when I could be doing something more productive. Or drinking. But that always comes later. I promise, Jen!
But I did help a little with komu.com JiEun Jeon needed a few graphics, so with Cate, Josh, Jen and a girl in the Blue Room I never actually got to meet, we got some kickass extras, including a Flash extra that looked amazing. It really added to the story, and I hope the viewers liked it. I know Jeon did.
Next week is another SD for me since Josh needs it. But that's OK with me.

On This Super Bowl Sunday...
A thank you to my roommate Dan, off whom I gladly collected the $10 I won from him. Go Giants!! Now, on to business...
The first two weeks working for KOMU and SmartDecision haven't been too stressful. I'm hoping that continues, but as more and more political news comes in, the workload will increase, no doubt about that.
Working for komu.com is going decent, mainly because after a week's layoff, I forgot the basics, but after one more night of those, I feel better about it. For me, the paid girl who works the site with me, Kate, has been helpful and, most importantly, patient with me as I learn this system. As long as we can work together and know what each other is doing for the site, everything should run smoothly.
Hopefully this class can help me learn skills to help me become employed. May is coming far too soon.
